During the
awards ceremony
Katie split her
winnings with up
and coming Nova
Scotia rider
Stephanie
Meagher.
Stephanie was in
the contest and
had improved the
most over the
year out of the
beginner female
pipe riders.
Katie did a
great job riding
and we are all
very proud of
her.
After a
memorable 2010
Olympic Games in
Vancouver Katie
has a chance to
take some time
off to enjoy her
family and
friends

Next on
the agenda is
Canadian
Nationals at
Stoneham resort
in Quebec. This
event is
scheduled for
the 27th of
March and should
be a good one as
it is the last
of the FIS
events for the
season
Winter
2009-10 After the
Canadian Nationals will
be the Grenade Games 6
during the World Ski &
Snowboard Festival at
Whistler Blackcomb
resort. The Superpipe
event is on the 23rd of
April.Katie is
featured on the Allian
catalogue.

Katie and her
family would like to

Katie places
second Canadian in
Mammoth Lakes at the
second Grand Prix,
the second to last
contest for
qualifiers for the
Canadian selection
process. Great job
Katie!! One more
contest to go.
Katie shares
her snowboarding
journey via Skype
with the Upper Grand
District School
Board and June
Avenue Elementary School.
They made very
encouraging sings
and asked great
questions. She
thanks all
the students
and staff at June
Avenue for making
her day.

Colorado is the spot
where she competed
for one of the
coveted Olympic team
spots. The
competition was
tight and all the
athletes were in
close contention.
The Olympic
Games has no mercy
and so she is
spending this
Christmas training
at Copper Mountain
in Colorado.
Although she is very
thankful for her
supportive family
who will be coming
down for New Years
to help cheer in the
new year and her on
to her dreams.

Katie podiums in Calgary
Katie places 2nd at
Canada Olympic Park in
Calgary, Alberta. It was
a close top five with
Alex Duckworth coming
out on top, Katie
Tsuyuki placed second
and Caitlin Irwin in
third. Congratulation to
all the winners.

Katie is participating
in the National Team
training camp at
Cardrona in New Zealand.
It will consist of two
weeks of pre Olympic
training in a 22ft half
pipe.
Summer

Katie heads down to New
Zealand to compete in
the New Zealand World
Cup with the Canadian
Freestyle National Team
After she will be
training there in
preparation for the
Olympic qualifiers
