Technical Coach

Crispin Lipscomb - 2006 Olympian and Pro-Ride Coach

Crispin is a Canadian snowboarder, specializing in riding halfpipe. Lipscomb made his World Cup debut in December 2002 at Whistler, and made his first podium later that season, with a bronze at Serre Chevalier. His first World Cup victory came in 2006, atFurano.

Crispin has claimed 5 World Cup medals over his career, including two victories, and his best season came in 2005, when he placed 5th overall in the halfpipe standings. He has competed at three FIS Snowboarding World Championships, with his best finish a 6th in 2007.

Lipscomb competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics, in the halfpipe. He was the only Canadian halfpiper to advance to a final, after finishing 6th in the second qualifying round. His best run in the final scored 33.5 points, enough for 11th place.

In 2011 Crispin started coaching fro Pro-Ride and Whistler Blackcomb utilizing his past coaching positions with teams such as British Columbia's Provincial Team, and New Zealand's Junior National Team.  

Crispin is eager to start coaching at an elite level again and working with KT Athletics.

Bob experienced high performance first hand as a fourth degree black belt, national competitor, coach and karate judge.  Now, with nearly 20 years of training elite athletes to many world-class successes, Bob has revolutionized and simplified the basic process of high performance.  In his cutting edge system he teaches coaches and athletes to have more impact, influence, consistency and skill by taking their moments of brilliance and expanding this to their entire game.

The SportExcel System has been embraced by athletes in the action sports of surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding, the team sports of football, baseball, soccer and hockey and other diverse sports such as ironman, triathlon, heptathlon and the Olympic shooting sports.   

Palmer holds a degree in Education from Brock University, a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and Master Practitioner level in neuro-linguistic training.  He writes on high performance and leadership for North American magazines and newsletters, has written a book on high performance for the clay target sports and has another book on sport high performance due for release this fall.  A member of the Coaches Association of Ontario, he also volunteers his time as the high performance trainer for the Shintani International Wado Kai Karate Team.
